The demand for uninterrupted internet
connectivity is and will continue to have
positive impact on Viasat’s bottom line.
The “Satellite Services” segment is
receiving strong subscriber growth from
airlines offering in flight wifi services.
• In home adoption will accelerate with the
launch of the VS-2 satellite which offers
the highest speed internet available from
satellite providers. This in-home adoption
occurs mostly outside of urban centers
and services many who are not able to
access ground broadband services.
• The “Government Services” segment is
receiving continued adoption from the US
military and is offering other services
outside of broadband including
assurance and cybersecurity.
• The mid-2020 launch of Viasat’s 3rd
generation satellite will have more
capacity than the rest of the world
combined and have global coverage.
Currently, Viasat’s coverage area includes
only the Americas.
